I am primarily interested in (1) recommendation systems, (2) information retrieval, (3) natural language processing, and (4) machine learning and data mining. Specifically, my research aims to develop cutting-edge machine learning models and algorithms for hyper-personalization on Web applications, such as recommendation systems and search engines. We also devise novel machine learning models that learn noisy and biased data effectively. Over the past three years, our lab has published 10+ papers at top-tier international conferences, including WWW, SIGIR, CIKM, WSDM, ICDM, NAACL, CVPR, and IJCAI in data mining, information retrieval, natural language processing, and machine learning research areas.   • (Jan 19, 2023) 우리 연구실이 한국정보기획평가원 주관 인공지능 그랜드 챌린지 정책 지원 AI 1단계 대회에서 우수팀으로 선발되었습니다. 본 대회는 54팀(399명)이 참여하였으며, 최종 선정된 6팀 중 대학교 소속 팀으로는 유일하게 포함되었습니다. 선발된 팀들에게는 향후 2년간 20억원의 후속 연구비가 지원됩니다.

  • (Dec 26, 2022) 이재웅(박사과정), 김혜영(석사과정), 홍서윤(학부연구생)으로 구성된 팀이 "LG유플러스 AI Ground" 대회에서 2위로 입상하였습니다. 해당 대회는 658팀이 참여하였으며, LG유플러스에서 서비스 중인 아이들나라 데이터를 활용하여 개인화된 영상콘텐츠 추천 모델 개발을 목표로 합니다.
  • (Nov 24, 2022) 우리 연구실이 한국정보기획평가원 주관 인공지능 그랜드 챌린지 5차 대회에서 최종 우승하였습니다. 본 대회는 2021년부터 2년 동안 3단계에 걸쳐 진행되었으며, 우리 연구실은 1단계와 2단계에서 각각 2등과 3등을 하였고, 마지막 단계에서 최종 우승하였습니다.
